Cushman & Wakefield and JRT Realty Group Reaffirm Strategic Alliance

Reflecting a commitment to diversity unmatched in America’s commercial real estate sector, Cushman & Wakefield and JRT Realty Group, a certified Minority/Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE), have reaffirmed their strategic alliance, which aims to boost equality in the commercial real estate workplace for both women and minorities.

Cushman & Wakefield, a global leader in commercial real estate services, initiated its relationship with JRT Realty Group, the country’s first and largest, certified woman-owned commercial real estate firm, in 2003.

The founder and CEO of JRT Realty Group, Jodi Pulice, was the only female business owner in commercial real estate when she launched the firm in 1996, promptly gaining formal certification as a M/WBE. The company has since set an industry standard by obtaining M/WBE certification from more than 500 corporations and institutions.

As the only international firm in the sector to have forged and maintained such an alliance, Cushman & Wakefield has leveraged the relationship to help fulfill its corporate commitment to diversity. At the same time, the company has helped its clients expand the degree of M/WBE representation within their respective vendor bases, and helped many large corporate and institutional entities better attain their supplier diversity goals.

“Our company has long been proud of our pursuit of gender diversity as a corporate priority,” said John C. Santora, Vice Chairman, President, Tri-State Region for Cushman & Wakefield. “By linking our efforts with JRT Realty Group fourteen years ago, we have since been able to make this priority a reality. We are pleased to reaffirm our commitment to this alliance, and we shall aim to keep opening the doors to success.”

“Cushman & Wakefield deserves tremendous praise for its vanguard role in promoting diversity in the commercial real estate sector, an industry that has too often found it difficult to widen its demographic base,” said Ms. Pulice. “Of all the household-name market leaders in real estate, this was the single company to step forward and turn its words into action when it comes to diversity in our industry.”

JRT Realty and Cushman & Wakefield, have closed more than 20 million square feet in leasing and sales transactions since 2003, and jointly represent clients including the Port Authority of NY & NJ, Savanna, MTA, United Nations Federal Credit Union, MTA, Jamestown, the City of New York, TH Real Estate (formerly known as TIAA), amongst others.

JRT recently received the Four Diamond Award from TH Real Estate, a Fortune 100 company and leading retirement provider, in recognition of its outstanding performance in property management in 2016.
